Fundraisers
• Greensburg Church of the Brethren, 554 Stanton St., Southwest Greensburg, will sell a variety of soups and hoagies 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 15 at the church. Proceeds will help local people in need. Details: 724-834-2130.
• East Allegheny High School Marching Band will sponsor a holiday craft show 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 15 in the indoor court of the junior-senior high school, 1150 Jacks Run Road, North Versailles. Free admission. Lunch will be available and there will be a basket raffle.
• Level Green Lions will host a pancake and sausage breakfast 7 a.m. to noon Nov. 15 at the Level Green Community Center, 123 Murrysville Road. Menu: plain, blueberry, chocolate chip, buttermilk or buckwheat pancakes, sausage and beverage. Cost: $8; children, $4; veterans, free in honor of Veterans Day. Nonperishable food will be collected for the Trafford/Level Green Food Bank. Proceeds will benefit Lions Club charities.
• St. Stephen Orthodox Church, 1520 Susan Drive, Unity, will collect Christmas shoe boxes for veterans 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 22, and 11 a.m. to noon Sundays through Dec. 7. Boxes should be gift wrapped and labeled if they are for a male or female veteran. Ideal items to include are contain books, playing cards, boxed candy, shampoo and deodorant. • A pancake and sausage breakfast will be held 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Nov. 15 at the Greensburg Masonic Center, 349 Donahoe Road, Greensburg. Cost: $10; 12 to 5, $5; younger than 5, free.
• St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 624 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, will host bingo at 1 p.m. Nov. 16 at the church. Doors open at noon. Cost: $10, includes four bingo cards and a chance for a door prize. Food, drinks, a basket raffle and extra cards will be sold.
Holiday event
• The Westmoreland Museum of American Art will sponsor a Winter Wonderland 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 14 at the museum, 221 N. Main St., Greensburg. There will be an outdoor light display, live performances, food vendors, hands-on art activities and interactive demonstrations. Admission is free. Details: thewestmoreland.org.
Meetings
• The Westmoreland County/Laurel Highlands chapter of the American Field Service high school student exchange program will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 17 at the One Room Schoolhouse, on the grounds of AK Hutchinson Elementary School, 810 Welty St., Southwest Greensburg. • The Irwin Male Chorus will present a variety show at 1 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Irwin Senior Activity Center, 310 Oak St. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be available to benefit the center. Cover charge: $5.
