• First Church of God, 157 N. Second St., West Newton, will have the following services: Maundy Thursday, 7 p.m. April 6 at the church; Good Friday, noon to 3 p.m. April 7 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 403 N. Second St., West Newton; Easter Sonrise service, 7 a.m. April 9 at West Newton Cemetery, Vernon Drive; and the Easter service, 10:30 a.m. April 9 at the church.

Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1120 Harvey Ave., Greensburg, will have the following services at the church: Maundy Thursday remembrance communion service, 7 p.m. April 6; Good Friday, 7 p.m. April 7; Easter sunrise service, 6:30 a.m. April 9 outside in the pavilion; Easter service, 9:30 a.m. in the church. • Living Word Congregational Church, 2003 Ridge Road, Jeannette, will have an Easter praise and worship service at 10:30 a.m. April 9 at the church.

• Greensburg Church of the Brethren will host a night of fun and fellowship for individuals and groups with developmental disabilities from 5 to 7 p.m. Mondays at the church, 554 Stanton St. Dinner is included. • A seven-week seminar series, “Discovering Christ,” will be offered from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays April 18 to May 30 in the assembly room at St. Vincent Parish Center, 300 Frazier Purchase Road, Unity. A free dinner will be served each week and there will be a retreat from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 20. Seating is limited and reservations are required. • The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will sponsor a workshop, “Making the Most of Our Piece of Nature: Sustainable Backyard Workshop,” from 8:30 a.m. to noon April 22 at Mammoth Park, 171 County Park Road, Mt. A retired instructor in emergency response technology and a member of Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company and Monroeville Fire Company No. 4, he will discuss practical insights into how to be prepared for emergency situations. Fundraisers

• The 49th annual Good Friday Family Prayer Breakfast will be at 7 a.m. April 7 at Stratigos Banquet Center, 131 Colonial Manor Road, North Huntingdon. A dinner will be at 7 p.m. April 6 at the same location. David Baker, retired president and CEO of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, will be the speaker at both events. Meetings

• The Braddock Trail chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet April 8 at the chapter house, 200 S. Church St., Mt. Pleasant. Lunch will be served at noon and the meeting will begin at 1 p.m. The program will be the annual meeting and committee reports.

• South Hills Coin Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. April 11 at the Bethel Park Municipal Building, 5100 W. Senior Citizen News

• A Seniors for Safe Driving class will be offered from 1 to 5 p.m. April 17 at West Newton Center for Active Adults, 103 E. Main St. The class is PennDOT approved and for drivers who are at least 55 years old. Safe drivers can receive a 5 percent discount on auto insurance for three years. Special event

• The Greensburg-Jeannette NAACP Human Rights Banquet will be April 22 at Greensburg Country Club, 309 Pleasant Valley Road, Hempfield. Networking will begin at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be at 6.
