Church news
• Mt. Olive Church, 515 Pleasant Valley Road, Bullskin , will hold Bible school from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 1 to 5 at the church. The theme will be, “On the Beach with Jesus.” Toddlers through adults welcome. Monday will be photo night. Please arrive promptly. There will be no closing program.
• Women Supporting Women will meet from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 31 at Temple of Praise Fellowship Hall, 302 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Greensburg. Women are welcome to learn how faith can change their life. Book bags and school supplies will be collected for a local outreach.
Class
• A Seniors for Safe Driving class will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 14 at Circleville United Methodist Church, 11600 Parkway Drive, North Huntingdon. The class is PennDOT approved and for drivers who are at least 55 years old. Safe drivers can receive a 5 percent discount on auto insurance for three years. • A rummage sale will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 30 and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 31 at Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 1570 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon.
• Hutchinson Volunteer Fire Department will host a virtual and in-person cash bash from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 7 as part of Community Day. Cost: $25. Onsite registration will open at 10 a.m. Tickets: Christen, 724-493-0952
• Vendor applications are being accepted for a craft and vendor show set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Jeannette American Legion, 509 S. Fifth St. Set-up will be at 9:30 Aug. 7. Music
• Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce will host free concerts at 7 p.m. Sundays through Aug. 22 in the gazebo at the Diamond. The featured group Aug. 1 will be the Penn Trafford Community Band. • Rep. Bob Brooks will host drive-thru Veterans Appreciation Luncheons for veterans of the 54th District of the Pa. House of Representatives from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 6 at Pittsburgh Barbeque, 6625 William Penn Highway, Delmont. Veterans and a guest will receive a boxed lunch. The 54th District includes West Deer, Fawn, Harrison, Allegheny Township, Lower Burrell, Upper Burrell, Murrysville, Export and Penn Township. Reservations required by Aug. 2.
