Classes/programs

• The 12th annual The Learning Lamp Children’s Book Festival of Johnstown will use a web-based format featuring custom-recorded, video-based storytelling, age-appropriate writing and drawing workshops for children of all ages. The festival will continue through April 30. • The Laurelville Retreat Center, 941 Laurelville Lane, Mt. Pleasant Township, will host a Family Fun Walk at 10 a.m. April 17 beginning at the center lodge building. Rain or shine. Participants will learn about hydration, make a homemade Gatorade recipe, review a GPS app, learn to track exercise and stroll around the grounds and trails. Cost: $5 per person, includes handouts and a water bottle. Reservations required. Masks required while inside. Fundraisers

• Latrobe United Presbyterian Church, 340 Spring St., will host a drive-thru Salisbury steak dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. April 17. Menu: Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, fruit cocktail and dessert, $12. Reservations required by April 13. Reservations: 724-539-8881, 9 a.m. to noon weekdays.

Library news

• The Braddock Trail Genealogical Library, 200 S. Church St., Mt. Pleasant, is open from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Capacity is limited to two people at a time. • Greensburg Coin Club will meet at 7 p.m. April 12 at South Greensburg Firehall, 304 Alexander Ave.

• Penn Township Senior Citizens will meet April 20 at Community United Methodist Church, 3487 Route 130, Trafford. Lunch will be at 1 p.m. Meeting begins at 2 p.m. Lunch cost: $6. Dues: $2. Entertainment will be by the Drewsmen. Reservations and masks required. Reservations: Joyce, 724-863-7829

• Board of Trustees at Torrance State Hospital will have an open meeting via conference call at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Details and access information: 724-459-4411

• Two chapters of the Women’s Business Network have scheduled meetings. Those attending can learn how the group supports the success and growth of women in business. Professional women are welcome and can attend as a guest at no cost. Some meetings will be held online. Call the chapter representative for more information.
