• Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art will offer an art camp for children age 10 to 16, “Around the World in 10 Days,” from 1 to 4 p.m. July 12 to 23 at the Ligonier museum, 1 Boucher Lane. • Downtown West Newton Inc. will sponsor a food truck rally at noon June 26 in Vine Street Park in the borough. Bring a chair or picnic blanket.
• Stewartsville Lions Club will host a drive-thru chicken barbecue from 11 a.m. until sold out June 27 at Holiday Travel Agency, 12239 Route 30, North Huntingdon. Menu: half chicken, roll, apple sauce and drink, $8. Details: 724-751-4308
• The North Huntingdon branch of Wreaths Across America will sponsor an indoor/outdoor craft and vendor show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 26 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 100 Billot Ave., North Huntingdon. Rain or shine. Funds raised will be used to place live wreaths on the graves of local veterans at Union Cemetery, Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Long Run Cemetery and Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
Library news
• West Newton Library, 124 N. Water St., will host an open house and dedicate the children’s room in memory of Patricia Medsger and Emma Jean Pritchard from 6 to 7:30 p.m. June 30 at the library. Masks and social distancing required.
Music
• Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a free concert at 7 p.m. June 27 in the gazebo at the Diamond. The featured group will be the Scottdale Area Concert Band. In case of inclement weather, an announcement will be made by 5 p.m. to move the concert into Town Hall or to cancel. Check Visit Ligonier on Facebook.
Reunion
• Norwin High School Class of 1971 will hold a reunion from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Antonelli Event Center, 100 Colony Drive, North Huntingdon. Meeting
Greensburg Garden Center will host the July meeting in the Lefevre Butterfly Garden July 6 at 6 p.m. Spend the evening and enjoy the garden, a new water feature and light refreshments.
