Classes

• The YMCA Westmoreland County Technology Center, 424 N. Main St., Greensburg, will offer the following classes in September and October:

• Yoga with Nancy Micheals – 10 to 11:30 a.m., Thursdays Sept. 16 and 30, Oct. 7 to 28

• Fabulously Fit After 50 – 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Wednesdays Sept. 8 to 29, and Oct. 6 and 13

• Windows 10 – 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Wednesdays Sept. 1 to 22

• Smartphones and Tablets – 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Thursdays Sept. 2 to 23

• Microsoft Word for Beginners – 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesdays Sept. 7 to 28

• Technology Q & A for Computers, Smartphones and Tablets – 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sept. 14

Fundraisers

• New Stanton Alliance Church will have a free yard sale for anyone in need from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 21 at the church, 815 S. Center Ave. All items are free, including food, clothing for all ages, toys, school supplies, small appliances, craft items, lamps and chairs. No flea market vendors please.

• His Inspired Messages (HIM) will host its 10th annual golf outing Aug. 20 at Greensburg Country Club. Details: 724-523-6036

• Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a wine tasting from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 26 at the Loyalhanna Watershed Barn, 6 Old Lincoln Highway W., Ligonier Township. Wines from Danimi and Collefrisio will be paired with appetizers. Cost: $40. Cash, checks and credit cards accepted. Tickets: 9:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays at the chamber office, 120 E. • Greensburg Church of the Brethren will have a car wash from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 21 at the church, 554 Stanton St. Donations will be accepted to help to feed the needy.

• Delmont Presbyterian Women’s Association will have its annual Peach Festival from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 21 at the church, 101 Church St. Menu: ham barbecue or hot dog, potato salad, baked beans, beverages and dessert of shortbread with ice cream and fresh peaches. Macaroni and cheese will be available for children. Details: 724-468-5804


Meetings

• Laurel Harmony Chorus conducts rehearsals at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Thursdays of each month in the Robertshaw Amphitheater in St. Clair Park, Greensburg. Zoom rehearsals continue on the first and third Thursdays of the month. Female singers needed. Walk-ins welcome. Details: 724-610-5766

• Penn Township Senior Citizens will meet Aug. 24 at Community United Methodist Church, 3487 Route 130, Trafford. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 2. Lunch: $6. Dues: $2. Entertainment will be the G Boys. Masks are optional or may be mandatory.

• Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) of Delmont meets at 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Delmont Presbyterian Church, 101 Church St. New members welcome without obligation to join. Details: tops.org


Music

• Jeannette Business Association will a sponsor concert and a food truck rally from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 19 in the 400 and 500 blocks of Clay Avenue and Fifth Street. Rain or shine. East Coast Turnaround will be featured in the new Elliott Group Amphitheater. Bring a lawn chair.


Special events

• Latrobe Alliance Church will host a Back to School Bash from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 22 at the church, 130 Kingston St. There will be games and food and free school supplies will be distributed.
