Sans Community Days, it's Greensburg Volunteer Fire Dept. to the rescue — with a party
The Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department didn’t need a beach throw a summer party Saturday.
They hosted a bash in a parking lot at Lynch Field, next to their training facility. And, in straight-forward fashion, they called it the Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department Parking Lot Party.
There was no Community Days this year, so the firefighters came to the public’s rescue in a different way.
There were food trucks, other vendors and live music. A showcase of the event was a Battle of The Barrel between fire companies from the county.
