An Allegheny County woman was sentenced Friday to state prison for a January police chase through residential areas of North Huntingdon.
Magdelena Ludwig, 27, of Forest Hills, was ordered to spend three to six years behind bars. She pleaded guilty Friday to fleeing from police, drug possession and resisting arrest stemming from the Jan. 20 chase that started in Pitcairn and moved into Irwin, North Huntingdon and Adamsburg.
Drug charges and summary vehicle code violations were dismissed by prosecutors, according to a court order.
Police said Ludwig was traveling at least 80 mph through residential areas and the chase ended when officers stopped her as she attempted to drive the wrong way onto an off-ramp for Route 30 near Adamsburg, according to court papers.
Authorities said they seized numerous drugs from the Kia Soul she was driving, including 248 bags of heroin/fentanyl, a bag of suspected raw heroin, 114 Xanax pills and $2,000. She was given credit for time served since her arrest.
