One woman was flown to a hospital Thursday after driving off Mt. Pleasant Road and crashing into a parked SUV.

Officials have not identified the driver, whose condition is unknown.

The crash happened shortly before 8 p.m. in Mt. Pleasant Township, in the vicinity of Blue Ribbon Lane near the Westmoreland Fairgrounds.

Homeowner Jim Dean said he was home when he heard a loud crash from his front yard.

“We just heard a hell of a lot of noise,” he said.

A Chevrolet Cruze had left the road, crashing into the SUV parked next to Dean’s detached garage, which is in front of his home.

The collision pushed the SUV into the side of the garage, damaging the wall.

State police and the Mutual Fire Department responded.

Dean said he’s seen a few crashes on his winding street, but this was the most severe.

“I just hope (the driver) is going to be OK,” he said.
