Workshop for writers benefits scholarship fund

The 2023 In Your Write Mind Workshop for writers and aspiring writers will be held virtually July 13-15. Registration is open through July 12.

The workshop includes live and recorded workshops and a keynote presentation from author Gail Carriger.

Carriger is a New York Times best-selling multi-genre author. Some of Carriger’s most notable works include the “Parasol Protectorate,” “Custard Protocol,” “Tinkered Stars,” and “San Andreas Shifter” series.

Thirty live sessions are scheduled on topics like public speaking, story prompts, pitching, branding, and graphic design, to sessions that will explore genres, including romance, poetry, satire, horror, fairy tales and the Wild West.

Fifty recorded sessions will also be available for attendees to watch at their convenience.

Attendees can also register for a pitch session with an agent when they register for the workshop.

The three agents in attendance include Zoe Aline Howard of Howland Literacy, Becky LeJune of Bond Literary Agency and Beth Marshea of Ladderbird Literary Agency.
