Woman dies after being shot inside East Carson Street business, police say
A woman died after being shot Saturday afternoon inside a business along East Carson Street on Pittsburgh’s South Side, according to police.
Police said officers responded just before 1 p.m. to reports of a woman shot inside a barbershop in the 1200 block of East Carson.
She had been shot at least twice, police said. She was initially taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Myairah Carter, 25, of Baldwin was arrested in connection with the incident, police announced. She was charged with criminal homicide and being taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
Police were continuing to investigate.
