Woman fatally shot in Braddock during neighborhood dispute

Police investigate the scene where a woman was fatally shot Sunday in Braddock.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after a woman was fatally shot Sunday evening in Braddock during a neighborhood dispute.

Troopers said Erica Vail, 43, was shot in the abdomen around 7:30 p.m. on Corey Avenue during the dispute among residents that turned into an altercation. She was taken by ambulance to a hospital where she died, according to troopers and Allegheny County Medical Examiner.

Police said anyone with information can call 412-787-2000. They said there’s no threat to the public.
