The 13 Propel Schools throughout Pittsburgh will switch to remote learning Tuesday after threats were posted on social media, according to Tribune-Review news partner WPXI.

School leaders alerted families that the move was made from “an abundance of caution.”

Administrators said initially that Propel Hazelwood and Propel Montour would go remote but made the change to include all campuses.

Police are investigating threats that were first posted to Snapchat but were copied to other platforms.

School leaders intend to file criminal charges once a suspect is identified.

Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or Propel at 412-325-7305.
