The “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk” is Saturday morning at Settlers Cabin Park in North Fayette.
More than 1,500 cancer survivors, their caregivers, family, friends, and supporters are expected to attend.

Money raised will help the American Cancer Soceity society fund breast cancer research.
The cancer society reports that since 1993, more than 15 million Making Strides Against Breast Cancer supporters have raised more than $935 million nationwide.
Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in American women, impacting nearly one in eight, said Dan Tobin, director of communications at the American Cancer Society in a statement.
“The American Cancer Society is there for people in every community affected by breast cancer, whether they’re currently dealing with a diagnosis, may face one in the future, or will avoid it altogether because of education and risk reduction,” Tobin said.
