Man in critical condition after being shot in chest multiple times in Wilkinsburg

A man was shot in the chest multiple times Friday night in Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County police said.

Police responded to a call for a shooting on the 1500 block of Montier St. around 9:50 p.m. The man who was shot was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

County homicide detectives are investigating the incident. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the County Police Tip Line, 1-800-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
