BetMGM Golf: Tiger Woods Masters Prop Bets: Make/Miss Cut, Finish, More

Just over a year ago, Tiger Woods playing in the 2022 Masters was far-fetched. Now, a week before the tournament, there’s a chance.
And what a thought that is for golf betting.
In February 2021, Woods was involved in a single-car accident near Los Angeles the day following the Genesis Invitational.
Woods suffered multiple open fractures in the tibia and fibula of his right leg in addition to significant injuries to his right foot and ankle. The golfer underwent multiple surgeries and a rod was inserted into the tibia to stabilize the fractures. Screws and pins were also inserted into his foot and ankle. He wasn’t able to walk on his own for months.
Woods played in the PNC Father-Son Challenge last December, but given it wasn’t a sanctioned PGA Tour event, he was allowed to take a golf cart.
The 46-year-old acknowledged he’ll never be able to play a full schedule again, but also has said swinging a golf club isn’t the real hurdle to climb; it’s physically being able to walk 18 holes for four consecutive days.
Many had resigned themselves to the fact a return for Woods would be months from now, but that changed this week.
Will Tiger Woods Play In The Masters?
After a few days of online chatter that Woods had been walking his home course, Medalist Golf Club, more lately, including with caddie Joe LaCava, the rumors gained more steam Tuesday, March 29.
Online flight trackers had Woods’ private jet flying from Florida to Augusta, Georgia, in the morning. Later on Tuesday, it was widely reported he played 18 holes at Augusta National with his son, Charlie, and Justin Thomas.
So, what does this all mean in relation to the tournament, which begins on April 7?
While no one can say for sure, the fact Woods traveled to the course a week before the tournament is an indication there’s a very real chance he tees it up next week.
Woods has until Friday afternoon to formally make the decision about whether or not he’ll be in the field (although he could technically withdraw at any time before his first-round tee time).
Tiger Woods Masters Prop Bets
In anticipation of Woods potentially playing in The Masters, some special prop bets have been released.
For what it’s worth, Woods has Masters golf odds of +5000 as of March 30, which are tied for 20th. By way of comparison, Jon Rahm has the best odds to win Masters of +1000.
Below is a full list of the Woods Masters prop bets being offered. All bets would void if he does not play.
● To finish in Top 5: +1400
● To finish in Top 10: +550
● To finish in Top 20: +300
● Leader after First Round: +5000
● Top 5 after First Round: +1200
● Top 10 after First Round: +500
● Top 20 after First Round: +275
● To miss the cut: -250
● To make the cut: +175
● To shoot 70 or lower in all four rounds: +4000
● To play in final group in final round: +2200
Given how competitive he is, Woods would never play in a tournament unless he knew for sure his game was sharp enough to compete with the game’s best players. And after all, Woods has won the tournament five times.
Based on all that, it may be worth taking a chance on a few of these props.
