1 Pennsylvanian dead, a dozen others arrested in Capitol chaos

One Pennsylvanian died and at least a dozen others were among those who were arrested Wednesday night amid violence and chaos in Washington, D.C.

Thousands of PresidentTrump’s supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol as legislators gathered to confirm President-elect Joe Biden’s election win. Four people died: One woman was shot, and one woman and two men suffered “medical emergencies” in the melee.

DC police identified the woman shot as Ashli Babbitt, of Maryland. Those who suffered medical emergencies were identified as Benjamin Phillips, of Bloomsburg; Rosanne Boyland, of Georgia; and Kevin Greeson, of Alabama.

Police wrote on Twitter they made 68 arrests and recovered six firearms and two pipe bombs. Fifty-six police officers were injured, and two were hospitalized.

The following Pennsylvania residents were arrested and charged by DC Metro Police. Their hometowns were not listed:

Matthew Bair, 20, charged with curfew violations

Sean Bare, 21, charged with curfew violation

Douglas Black, 37, charged with curfew violation

Eric Black, 36, charged with curfew violation

David Booth, 47, charged with curfew violation

Tara Coleman, 40, charged with curfew violation and unlawful entry

Thomas Haines, 33, charged with curfew violation

Jonathan McKinley, 40, charged with curfew violation

Philip Mulhollen, 39, charged with curfew violation

James Sinclair, 38, charged with curfew violation and unlawful entry

Anthony Tamaro, 60, charged with curfew violation and unlawful entry

Dakoda Westfall, 23, charged with curfew violation

In addition, U.S. Capitol Police arrested Terry Brown, of Myerstown, on a charge of unlawful entry.
