New coronavirus numbers released for Pennsylvania.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Sunday reported 505 new coronavirus cases and three new deaths.

That brings the statewide total to 85,496 cases and 6,606 deaths.

The state considers 633 patients as probable cases, but they are not confirmed.

More than half of coronavirus cases in the state are in patients ages 50 or older, with the most severe cases in patients over the age of 65, according to the Department of Health.

Nursing and personal care homes account for 17,677 cases, with 3,212 cases among employees, for a total of 20,889 cases at 687 facilities across 51 counties. Out of the total deaths, 4,528 have occurred in residents at nursing or personal care facilities.

Health care workers account for 6,484 coronavirus cases.

About 657,486 patients have tested negative for covid-19.

All of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties have had confirmed cases and all are now in either the yellow or green phase of Gov. Tom Wolf’s three-tiered reopening plan.
