67-year-old killed, toddler injured in Washington County crash

A 67-year-old man was killed and a 1-year-old child was hospitalized Sunday night as a result of a crash on Interstate 70 in Washington County.

The Pennsylvania State Police reported the incident happened around 10:50 p.m. along the eastbound lanes of I-70 in Washington.

According to a state police report, the two vehicles were traveling alongside one another when one of them entered the other’s lane. Both vehicles spun out and hit a concrete median.

Thomas McCluskey, 67, of McDonald was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The passenger in his vehicle was not injured.

Jennifer Piersol, 28, of Bridgeville, who was driving the other vehicle, was hospitalized along with her 1-year-old passenger. Their condition was not reported.

The crash is under investigation.
