Police are actively investigating a brawl at a popular Bensalem buffet restaurant last week after the fight was captured on video that has since gone viral on social media.

Bensalem Director of Public Safety William McVey confirmed the department is actively investigating what happened Friday around 4:30 p.m. at the Golden Corral Buffet & Grill restaurant.

McVey did not have an exact count of of how many people were involved, but officers believe it was more than 40. The fight left the dining room heavily damaged and sent people fleeing for safety.

Police were not aware of any serious injuries and no arrests had been made as of Monday, McVey said, noting police have seen the video. The business reopened on Sunday, he added

At this point, police believe an argument between customers started the fight, McVey said.

The video posted on Facebook on Sunday shows a large crowd of customers shouting and screaming before patrons start running as others begin throwing chairs, high-chairs and tables. Some customers are seen attacking people using chairs and tables.

The woman who posted the video said Facebook has since removed it.

Workers at the restaurant can be seen intervening and separating the customers as items are flying around them.

The three-minute and 24-second video showed multiple broken dishes, tables and chairs around the room. The fight appears to have taken place near one of the self-serve food areas.

After about two minutes, most of the people fighting appear to leave the restaurant out a nearby door.

On the video, an unidentified person can be heard saying that two people were injured and someone was bleeding.
