An extended closure of the Pennsylvania Turnpike between Downington and Valley Forge is expected Tuesday after a truck crash spilled dish soap on the highway in Chester County.

The eastbound lanes are closed between exits 312, Downington, and 326, Valley Forge, because of the crash involving the truck and a car shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday around milepost 317.5, turnpike spokesman Carl DeFebo said on Twitter.

“The truck hit a bridge creating a large debris field of jugs of dish soap,” DeFebo said.

There were injuries reported.
