U.S. Sen. John Fetterman, D-Braddock, talks to reporters at the Capitol in Washington, March 13, 2025.

Another top aide is leaving U.S. Sen. John Fetterman’s staff.

The departure of chief of staff Krysta Sinclair Juris, first reported by Axios, is the latest in a string of departures from the Braddock Democrat’s office staff.

“I’m grateful for Krysta’s work. She’s been an invaluable member of the team for over two years and I wish her all the best,” Fetterman said in a statement to TribLive.

The statement did not give a reason for Juris’ departure.

Juris could not be reached.

She will be replaced by deputy chief of staff Cabelle St. John, making her the office’s third chief of staff in about a year.

“Cabelle St. John has been a trusted advisor since day 1 in the office. I’m lucky to have her taking over as my Chief of Staff and I’m confident she’ll do a great job,” Fetterman said in his emailed statement.

Juris was elevated to the role of chief of staff after last year’s departure of former chief of staff Adam Jentleson.

Last month, New York Magazine published an article quoting a letter Jentleson had written to Fetterman’s doctor raising concerns about the senator’s behavior and physical and mental health.

Jentleson sent his May 2024 letter to David Williamson, the medical director of the traumatic brain and neuropsychiatry unit at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, who oversaw Fetterman’s well-publicized treatment for depression at the hospital. Fetterman, 55, previously suffered a stroke during his U.S. Senate campaign in 2022.

After the article was published, Fetterman responded to it by saying, “It’s a one-source story with a couple anonymous sources. Hit piece from a very left publication. There’s really nothing more to say about that.”

Fetterman’s office has dealt with the departures of several other top staffers since last year.

Fetterman also has faced backlash this year from some in his own party for breaking from Democrats and showing an openness to working with President Trump on certain issues, including his staunch support for Israel and stronger border security.
