A website launched by the Pennsylvania Department of Health shows how many hospital beds and ventilators each county in the state has.

Real-time data on number of hospital beds and ventilators available in every Pennsylvania county are now available on a website launched Wednesday by the state Department of Health.

The Hospital Preparedness Dashboard shows, county by county, the number of coronavirus cases, deaths, intensive care beds, medical beds, isolation rooms and ventilators. It also shows how many ventilators are in use on covid-19 patients as well as non-covid-19 patients.

“We want to give Pennsylvanians a better idea of what is happening throughout Pennsylvania and their county,” Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said during a virtual news conference.

The department has also added a map of covid-19 testing sites across the state. Levine warned that some sites require a prescription for the test, so people are urged to check the site’s requirements and talk to their doctor first. Some sites on the map may have been temporarily or permanently shut down, so it is best to check with each location prior to attempting to get a test.
