People who need to register to vote in the Tuesday, Nov. 5 municipal election only have a few days left to do so.

The deadline to register, or to change an address or party affiliation is Monday To qualify to vote, one must be a U.S. citizen at least one month prior to the election, a resident of the state and the election district at least 30 days before the election, and 18 years of age on or before the day of the election.

The state’s online voter registration process is at www.votespa.com. Longtime voters can verify their registration and local polling place online at PAvoterservices.PA.gov.

Registration-by-mail forms also may be used to register or to change a name, address or party affiliation. They must be postmarked by Oct. 7. These forms are available at county voter registration offices as well as online.

In-person registration can also be completed at a PennDOT office and some other government agencies including:

State offices that provide public assistance and services to persons with disabilities Armed Forces recruitment centers County Clerk of Orphans’ Court offices, including each Marriage License Bureau Area Agencies on Aging Centers for Independent Living County mental health offices Student disability services offices of the State System of Higher Education Offices of Special Education DA Complementary Paratransit offices Any agency using the Compass application

Allegheny County residents may register by applying in person Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Office of the Registration Commission in Room 609 of the County Office Building (542 Forbes Avenue, downtown Pittsburgh). The Election Division will remain open until 5 p.m. Monday to accept hand-delivered voter registration forms. Allegheny County has 955,723 registered voters, according to figures from the Pennsylvania Department of State.

Armstrong County ‘s elections office is in Courthouse Administration Building at 450 Market Street, Suite 207 in Kittanning. The phone number is 724-548-3222. The office will be open for regular hours Monday. There are currently 41,511 registered voters in Armstrong.

Westmoreland County’s elections office is in the county building at 2 North Main St., Suite 109, Greensburg. The phone number is 724-830-3150. The office will be open for regular hours Monday. There are currently 236,302 registered voters in Westmoreland.
