LANSFORD — Authorities say three people were found dead in an eastern Pennsylvania home, but there was no immediate word on the cause of the deaths.

The Carbon County coroner’s office confirmed Wednesday that three people were found dead Tuesday afternoon in the Lansford residence. WBRE-TV reported that the deceased were an adult male and female and a female child, and two male children also in the home were taken for medical treatment before being released to family members.

Chief Jack Soberick of the borough police department said the investigation was continuing but emphasized that the situation was isolated to that home and there was no risk to the community.

Coroner Robert Miller said autopsies on the bodies are slated for Friday.
