A two-vehicle crash involving an Amazon delivery van was then followed by one of the drivers opening fire on the other.

As 6ABC reports, the possible road-rage incident occurred around 12:20 p.m. Sunday in normally quiet Clifton Heights, Delaware County.

Police tell the news station the two drivers collided at the busy intersection of Springfield Road and Oak Avenue, resulting in one of the drivers then being shot by the other.

Two of vehicles involved in the incident were a silver pickup truck and an Amazon delivery truck, and 6ABC reports police were investigating and photographing both vehicles at the scene.

However, police didn’t identify any of the drivers, nor say who shot who in initial reports. Police did say the driver who opened fire got away.

The shooting victim was taken to an area hospital, and police tell 6ABC he was alert while being transported from the scene.

An Amazon spokesperson released this statement to 6ABC: “We are aware of an incident involving a delivery service partner vehicle this afternoon in Delaware County. We are working with local authorities closely in their ongoing investigation.”
