The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 28 new covid-19 deaths and 323 new cases in the state Monday.
That brings the state’s total case count to 79,121, with 6,243 deaths.
The state considers 630 patients as probable cases, but they are not confirmed.
More than half of coronavirus cases in the state are in patients age 50 or older, with the most severe cases in patients over the age of 65, according to the Department of Health.
Nursing and personal care homes account for 16,612 cases among residents and 2,936 among employees. There have been 4,268 coronavirus deaths in nursing and personal care homes. The virus has been found in more than 640 nursing facilities.
Health care workers account for 5,996 coronavirus cases.
Almost 514,000 people statewide have tested negative for the virus.
All of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties are in the yellow or green phase of Gov. Tom Wolf’s three-tiered reopening plan.
