Pennsylvania college state grant deadline approaches
Pennsylvania college students and most of those who plan to become students in a college, university or college transfer program at a two-year public or private college this fall must file their 2019-20 applications for state grants to the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency by May 1.
To apply for the need-based grants, students or parents must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, and submit it along with the PA State Grant Form.
The FAFSA form is available online at PHEAA.org/FAFSA or fafsa.gov.
Video tutorials explaining the student aid process and types of aid available can be found at
First-time PHEAA applicants who plan to enroll in a community college, business, trade, or technical school, a hospital school of nursing, a designated Pennsylvania Open Admission institution, or a non-transferable 2-year degree program at a community, two-year or four-year college have until Aug. 1 to complete their PA State Grant application.
