The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Saturday reported 504 new coronavirus cases and 20 new covid-19 deaths.

The new numbers brings the total case count to 81,266 and 6,419 deaths.

The state considers 631 patients as probable cases but not confirmed.

More than half of coronavirus cases in the state are in patients ages 50 or older, with most of the severe cases in patients over the age of 65, according to the Health Department.

Nursing and personal care homes account for 17,000 cases among residents and 3,034 cases among employees. That’s a total of 20,034 cases at 658 facilities in 47 counties.

There have been 4,381 deaths in nursing and personal care homes.

Health care workers account for 6,180 of the total cases.

There are 556,461 people who have tested negative.

All of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties are in the yellow or green phase of Gov. Tom Wolf’s three-tiered reopening plan.
