The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Friday reported 526 new coronavirus cases and 38 new covid-19 deaths, bringing the total case count to 80,762 and 6,399 deaths.

The state considers 630 patients as probable cases but not confirmed.

More than half of coronavirus cases in the state are in patients ages 50 or older, with most of the severe cases in patients over the age of 65, according to the Department of Health.

Nursing and personal care homes account for 16,895 cases among residents and 3,012 cases among employees for a total of 19,907 cases at 651 facilities in 47 counties. There have been 4,345 deaths in nursing and personal care homes.

Health care workers account for 6,141 of the total cases.

There are 556,456 people who have tested negative.

All of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties are in the yellow or green phase of Gov. Tom Wolf’s three-tiered reopening plan.
