The Pennsylvania Department of Health’s latest data added 786 new cases and eight new covid-19 deaths to the state totals on Sunday.

The statewide totals now stand at 101,027 cases and 7,015 deaths.

More than 926,352 people have tested negative for the virus, state numbers show.

Westmoreland County saw an increase of 18 new cases on Sunday.

The Allegheny County Health Department reported 138 new covid-19 cases Sunday and one new death. The state and Allegheny numbers do not always match.

In nursing and personal care homes, there are 18,638 resident cases of covid-19, and 3,599 cases among employees, for a total of 22,237 at 788 distinct facilities in 59 counties, according to the state.

Out of the state’s total deaths, 4,803 have been residents from nursing or personal care facilities.

On Saturday, the Keystone State had surpassed three milestones: 100,000 positive cases and 7,000 deaths after administering more than 1 million tests.

The state reminded people that mask-wearing is required in all businesses and whenever leaving home, saying that consistent mask-wearing is critical to preventing the spread of covid-19.
