Pennsylvania reports 829 new coronavirus cases, 36 new deaths
Pennsylvania on Friday reported 829 new coronavirus cases, just slightly above the seven-day average of 810.
The Department of Health reported 36 new deaths attributed to coronavirus. That’s the most in more than a week. One of those deaths was from June and one from July. The rest were in August.
The total number of covid-19 deaths in Pennsylvania is 7,445. Of those, 5,056 were residents from nursing or personal care facilities.
The state has reported 122,950 total coronavirus cases, with 119,512 of those confirmed and 1,304,739 people testing negative.
The total positive cases in Pennsylvania break down by age as follows:
0-4: 1%
5-12: 1%
13-18: nearly 4%
19-24: nearly 10%
25-49: nearly 38%
50-64: nearly 23%
65+: nearly 24%
There are 585 covid-19 patients hospitalized across the state, with 103 on ventilators, the state reported.
