Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Scott Township, condition unknown

A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Scott Township on Friday evening.

Allegheny County officials said the accident occurred around 6:35 p.m. near the intersection of Washington and Carothers avenues.

The pedestian’s condition was not released. No other injuries were reported.

Washington Avenue was closed for about a half-hour as emergency responders began clearing the scene around 7:15 p.m.
