Police and EMS were dispatched to the pond near Maple Springs Gazebo in South Park, where the body of a deceased man was pulled from the water.

The body of a Bethel Park man was found in a South Park pond Sunday morning, according to Allegheny County Police.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man as Kevin Ryan Stewart, 36.

The body was located in a small pond by the gazebo along Maple Springs Drive around 7:45 a.m. Homicide detectives, police, EMS and a forensic investigator assisted.

Stewart’s body was pulled from the water around 9:30 a.m.

There were no obvious signs of trauma, police said. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating.
