Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris speaks during a campaign rally at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse, in La Crosse, Wis.

Vice President Kamala Harris told a group of hecklers Thursday in La Crosse, Wis., they were in the “wrong rally,” according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The rally was at the La Crosse Recreational Eagle Center. It was the Democratic presidential nominee’s second campaign in the state.

The Sentinel reported that several attendees were escorted out about 20 minutes into Harris’ speech.

Those being removed were reportedly shouting “Jesus is Lord” at other attendees.

“Oh, you guys are at the wrong rally,” Harris said. “No, I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street.”

The hecklers were advocating anti-abortion stances, according to MSNBC.

Abortion has become an increasingly powerful political topic recently, especially after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe V. Wade in 2022.

A crowd size jab from Harris is not uncommon. It was a widely talked about moment when Harris brought up her political opponent, former President Donald Trump, rally size during their debate earlier this year.

Newsweek reported the vice president has attracted a bigger crowd than Trump on several occasions

The Sentinel reported Harris’ Thursday crowd erupted into cheers and applause as the protesters were removed.

The interruption reportedly took place while Harris was attacking Trump’s stand on abortion.

CNN posted a video clip of Harris’ comments on its website.

Trump spent the better part of his weekend in Pennsylvania landing at Unity on Saturday and speaking with supporters and reporters, and Sunday in Pittsburgh for the Steelers game against the New York Jets.

An email sent to the Harris campaign Sunday afternoon regarding Harris’ comments Thursday was not returned.
