Pitt Republicans to host Charlie Kirk vigil
The College Republicans at the University of Pittsburgh will hold a vigil today in remembrance of Charlie Kirk.
The vigil is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at the William Pitt Union patio along Forbes Avenue.
Kirk, a conservative activist, was CEO and co-founder of the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA. He was shot in the neck and killed during a free-speech debate.
The College Republicans announced the vigil Thursday on its Instagram page @cr.pitt.
“Please join us in prayer,” the post reads.
On Thursday morning, the Carnegie Mellon University College Republicans painted The Fence overnight in tribute to Kirk.
