A ribbon hangs Tuesday on the White House for World AIDS Day 2020 in Washington.

President Donald Trump teased supporters Tuesday night that he may announce a run to retake the White House in 2024 and he may skip the inauguration of Joe Biden in 2021.

According to a report by Politico, Trump told a crowd at a White House Christmas party that he’s thinking of making a political comeback in the next term.

“It’s been an amazing four years. We are trying to do another four years. Otherwise, I’ll see you in four years,” Trump told a crowd of mostly Republican National Committee members, Politico reported.

The Associated Press reported that the video was streamed on Facebook by one attendee, Pam Pollard, who is national committeewoman for the Oklahoma GOP.

The idea has been floating around recently as Trump is expected to announce a 2024 campaign shortly after the Electoral College meets on Dec. 14, NBC News reported.

Per my NBC News colleagues: Trump may announce for 2024 on inauguration day. Either way, he won't attend the inauguration and does not plan to invite Biden to the White House or even call him.

But the president is not expected to attend the inauguration of the president-elect or even place a courtesy call.

Despite Trump’s announcement, Biden officials say nothing would affect their inauguration plans on Jan. 20.

I just keep thinking of the Rs who planned to run in 2024. they made deference to Trump a party requirement and now it might crowd out their own ambition https://t.co/3HF8RhvqBy
