President Trump is expected to name former White House adviser Sebastian Gorka to the National Security Education Board, the White House announced Tuesday.

The National Security Education Board, which was created in 1991, consists of several Cabinet members as well as six individuals appointed by the president “who shall be experts in the fields of international, language, area, and counterproliferation studies education and who may not be officers or employees of the Federal Government.” It carries a four-year term.

The board members oversee the National Security Education Program, which was created by President George H.W. Bush to help strategically bridge the national security community and higher education in order to provide expertise on critical languages and regions.

Gorka, a former deputy assistant to Trump, left the administration in 2017 when then-White House chief of staff John Kelly took over and replaced staffers.

He is a former Breitbart and Fox News contributor and currently hosts a conservative radio show. In his bio, Gorka, a naturalized U.S. citizen born in the United Kingdom to Hungarian parents, says he has been an associate dean at the National Defense University and has taught at Georgetown University.
