Pennsylvania Trolley Museum to host anything on wheels event
The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum will host Anything on Wheels on June 7-8, engaging car enthusiasts and history buffs during the annual automotive exhibition.
The car and truck show will showcase antique automobiles, hot rods, classic cars and other vintage vehicles. Exhibitors may register at no cost in advance but are welcome to cruise in without prior RSVP. Along with cars and trucks, other large vehicles will make special appearances including buses, construction equipment, delivery trucks, tractors and more.
The first 75 exhibitors each day will receive a complimentary dash plaque, and all exhibitors receive two admission tickets to the Museum. Select antique automobiles will park along Volunteer Boulevard, a brick-paved street that is also used by the trolleys, creating an atmospheric scene for photographers and guests to experience.
The weekend will feature trolley parades on Saturday, automobile parades on Sunday, rides on restored antique streetcars, as well as food trucks and entertainment. This year, we are excited to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Wexford Station on wheels! On June 6, 2015, Wexford Station was trucked to the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, then restored, now standing as one of the few preserved trolley stations remaining in existence. This event is open to the general public at regular museum admission rates. Both days run from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum opened to the public in 1963 in order to preserve the story of Pennsylvania’s Trolley Era. The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum has over 50 historic electric railway vehicles in its collection and is maintained and operated by over 180 volunteers and a small paid staff.
The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum is located at 1 Electric Way, Washington, PA 15301. Take I-79 North to Exit 40 (Meadow Lands) or I-79 South to Exit 41 (Racetrack Road) and then follow signs for the Trolley Museum.
