Washington County is putting its rising football stars in the spotlight this summer with the 2025 Junior High Football Combine, hosted by the Canon-McMillan Football Alumni Association (CMFAA) and supported by TribLIVE High School Sports Network (HSSN).

The event occurs on Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at AHN Field @ Canonsburg Memorial Stadium, with registration, autographs, and photos beginning at 9 a.m.

Open to all regional football players in grades 6 through 9, the combine aims to provide early exposure to competitive metrics and collegiate-style testing in a professional environment — one that mirrors the same standards college recruiters use.

NFL Players to Attend

One of the event’s major draws is the opportunity to meet and learn from former NFL players, including:

Mike Hull, former Miami Dolphins linebacker and Canon-Mac standout

Anthony Zettel, Detroit Lions

Miles Dieffenbach, Penn State

Trevor Scott, Oakland Raiders

Ross Ventrone, Pittsburgh Steelers

These professionals will be on hand for autographs, photos, and encouragement, lending their experience to inspire the next generation of athletes.

Combine Events and Registration

Athletes will compete in standardized drills that test speed, agility, and power:

• 40-Yard Dash

• 20-Yard Shuttle

• Broad Jump

• Strength Pull

The $50 registration fee includes a dri-fit performance shirt, access to autographs and pictures, and lunch provided by Chick-fil-A of Washington, Pa. Athletes must register by May 30 at cmfootballalumni.org.

Exposure Through Video Highlights

Adding to the prestige, HSSN will be on-site, capturing video coverage of the combine, creating a highlight reel for the Canon-Mac Football Alumni Association. This reel will be shared with high school and collegiate programs, helping participants get the exposure they need to advance in the sport.

“We’re giving kids a head start and a chance to shine in front of the right eyes—without having to travel far or pay for expensive camps across the state,” said Andrew J. Andronas, CMFAA co-chairman. “This combine brings meaningful exposure right in their backyard.”

Building a Stronger Sports Community

While CMFAA was founded by Canon-Mac alums, the combine has grown into a regional initiative to support young athletes from school districts across Washington County and the surrounding area.

This summer’s combine is expected to be a springboard for future events. CMFAA and HSSN expand their collaboration to support high school sports through live coverage, digital content, and in-person mentorship.
