Final full moon of the decade to peak at 12:12 on 12/12
The moon will appear full for the final time this decade on Dec. 12 at 12:12 a.m., according to NASA.
A full moon in December is known as the Cold Moon in the Northern Hemisphere.
Numerologists may have something to say about all the twelves in the date and time, especially as it falls immediately prior to Friday, the 13th.
As we move towards the #WinterSolstice, the #FullMoon on 12th Dec is known as the #ColdMoon or #LongNightsMoon, so-called by Native American tribes in honour of the many hours of freezing darkness we now share. 12:12 am USA, 5:12 am UK, 4:12 pm Aust. #FolkloreThursday #Stonehenge pic.twitter.com/YyC4cClQFo

You may spot some other activity in the sky as the Geminid meteor shower is due to peak the following night, according to AccuWeather. The meteor shower is one of the most spectacular of the year with as many as 150 meteors per hour, even though many of these will be washed out by the brightness of the full moon.
