This year’s Harvest Moon is unique in that it happens to fall on Friday the 13th.

The Harvest Moon is set to rise on Sept. 13 (in the Americas) and Sept. 14 (the rest of the world), according to AccuWeather.

It doesn’t happen often that the full moon and Friday the 13th coincide: The last time was in October 2000 and it will not happen again until August 13, 2049.

Harvest Moon is the name given to the full moon that happens closest to the Fall Equinox. Farmers would harvest their crops to the light of the late summer or early fall moon and hence it got its name. Autumn officially begins Sept. 23 at 3:50 a.m.

The full moon will reach its peak Sept. 14 at 12.33 a.m., according to NASA.
