A Massachusetts woman will have to wait five years on the off chance she wants a second date.

Christopher Castillo, 33, was sentenced this week to three years in state prison and two years in county corrections after pleading guilty to robbery and tangling with police during a 2016 first date with a woman he’d met online, according to CNN.

The woman, who has not been named, told police she met Castillo on a dating app, and they arranged to meet for the first time Dec. 5, 2016, according to the Washington Post. The woman, 40, picked up Castillo at his parents’ Rhode Island home, and they drove toward her town of North Attleboro, Mass.

The woman later told police Castillo downed wine in her passenger seat during the half-hour drive, according to the Post.

According to local TV news station WHDH, Castillo asked her to pull in to Bristol County Savings Bank, and he went inside.

Once inside, he told the bank teller he was “really hurting” for cash, flashed a gun and demanded $1,000, WHDH reported.

The woman told police Castillo ran back to the car, sweaty, with sunglasses, a hat, a gun and $1,000, according to CNN. He told her to “(expletive) go.” She said she panicked and drove, but pulled over when she saw police behind her.

The news outlet reported that Castillo had to be dragged from the car while he “violently struggled” and spit on them.

The woman was initially believed to be in on the plot and she was arrested, according to the Sun Chronicle. The charges were later dropped.
