Courtney Lawrence pleaded guilty to murder charges in connection to a 2016 home invasion in Bradenton, Florida, that left a fellow suspect dead after a shootout.

A Florida man has apparently lived up to his “Murder” nickname.

Courtney Lawrence, 30, with the moniker “Murder” tattooed across his neck, pleaded guilty to murder charges in connection to a 2016 home invasion and shootout that left a fellow suspect dead, reports the Miami Herald.

Lawrence was one of several suspects who stormed into a Bradenton home on the night of May 4, 2016 and demanded money from the resident, the Herald reported.

Gunfire was exchanged and Lawrence soon turned up at a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to his buttocks and a shoulder injury, according to the Herald. One of his accomplices died from gunshot wounds.

Lawrence on Monday pleaded guilty to second-degree felony murder with a firearm and other charges, reports the Herald. He was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
