Man tosses tortilla 54 feet, 5 inches to break world record
A tortilla tosser in Toronto topped 54 feet to break this particular food-flinging record.
David Rush from Idaho threw a flour disc farther than anyone at the Science of Guinness World Records Exhibit in Toronto on Saturday.
Prior to the event, 30 feet, 1 inch was the farthest a 10-12 inch diameter tortilla had been thrown.
Two event dignitaries beat the old record prior to Rush’s three official attempts. His third toss of 54 feet, 5 inches carried the day.
Rush shared a video of himself setting the new record and explaining some of the science behind the tossing of tortillas.
Rush is no stranger to the folks at Guinness World Records. He has broken more than 100 records while promoting STEM education.
