Pittsburgh-area native and billionaire Mark Cuban unloaded on Congress in a profanity-laced Twitter tirade Tuesday, imploring Democrats and Republicans to come together on a stimulus deal to help save the economy amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Mt. Lebanon entrepreneur and owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks unleashed after a tweet from Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas).

After Cornyn replied “blah blah blah” Sunday to a tweet by Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) that explained why Democrats voted down a stimulus bill, Cuban went off. (As a warning, Cuban’s tweets contain strong language some may find offensive.)

“BOTH OF YOU NEED TO DO YOUR (EXPLETIVE) JOB!” Cuban wrote. “(Corporations) don’t need buybacks or exec bonuses. They have no choice but to take any deal they can get.

“The economy is crashing and people are getting sick and dying because you 2 (expletive) think your agendas are bigger than the health and future of the American people,” he continued. “They are not. There is no perfect deal. TIME IS OUR ENEMY. Get this done today!”

Cuban was among the first owners to say he would pay employees who lost pay after the NBA shut down March 12. Dallas Mavericks and American Airlines Arena employees were to get paid the equivalent of the game checks they lost amid the shutdown.
