CANTON, Miss. — A Domino’s Pizza employee who went missing four days ago was found dead Tuesday afternoon, authorities in Mississippi said.

The body of Helerica “Latrice” Dortch, 31, was found near a rural intersection in Canton, Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker told WLBT-TV.

Dortch was last seen Friday afternoon leaving the Canton Domino’s location where she worked, authorities said.

She was wearing Domino’s work clothes at the time, but the store’s owner, Molly Yildirim, declined to say whether she was making a delivery or leaving for the day when she disappeared, The Clarion Ledger reported Monday. Yildirim said she and her team were cooperating with law enforcement.

Dortch’s mother Tammie said her daughter’s 2015 maroon Chevrolet Malibu was found Saturday by a farmer off a road located about 5 miles from where her body was found, according to Google Maps.

Yildirim said Dortch often kept to herself at work. “She came to work and she worked hard and she went home,” she said.

An investigation is ongoing.
