Police: Man bit off part of another man’s pinky at Dallas train station
DALLAS — Police arrested a Dallas man over the weekend after he reportedly bit off part of another man’s finger at a commuter train station.
Hubert Warren, 50, faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to Warren’s arrest-warrant affidavit, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) officers were notified about 10 a.m. Sunday that a man had been bitten and attacked with a metal pipe at the Forest Lane Station in the Lake Highlands neighborhood.
The victim told police where his assailant had fled, and an officer detained Warren a short time later.
Warren admitted getting into a fight with the other man and biting off the tip of his left pinky finger, the affidavit says.
One of the officers found the victim’s fingertip “unattached from his person” at the station, according to the document.
Warren remained in the Dallas County jail Tuesday, with bail set at $5,000. He also is accused of violating his probation for a 2015 harassment case in which he spat on a DART officer.
