The Kennewick Police Department in Washington state say a man who reported his pickup truck stolen was at the location to rob a store across the street.

Karma is best served instantly.

The Kennewick Police Department in Washington state posted a story to Facebook about just such an incident that happened Sunday.

According to the police, William Kelley, 42, called to report someone stole his 1992 Chevy pickup truck. Turns out he had left his keys on the seat.

Well, police found surveillance video and discovered indeed someone got into his truck and made off with it.

Oh, something else they said they found on the video: Kelley had parked his truck there while he went across the street to steal items from a business.

Kelley was booked into Benton County jail on an outstanding warrant and a new charge of burglary.

His truck has yet to be recovered, and police are still on the lookout for that suspect.
