In the report, the New York medical examiner said one of the broken bones was the hyoid. The examiner has not officially ruled the cause of death.

Epstein, a convicted sex offender was federal prison on charges of sex trafficking, was found dead in his jail cell early Saturday morning.

The latest findings fuel speculation that Epstein was murdered, but the bones could be broken in a hanging, the Post wrote.

Last month, Epstein had been put on suicide watch, with 24-hour monitoring and daily psychiatric evaluations, after he was found on the floor of his cell with bruises on his neck. But he was taken off suicide watch at the end of July and returned to the jail’s special housing unit, for inmates requiring close supervision.
